Forecast for Thursday, October 26, 2017

Our high pressure is in slow retreat to the west and our temperatures will slowly retreat as well. Highs still above the low 80s average for this time of year through the weekend. Mornings are refreshingly cool, so there’s that. Then some good news. A low pressure system may move our way just in time for Halloween with a slight chance for showers and highs actually at, our slightly below, average! The models are hinting at it, but rain is not yet in the official forecast. Of course we’ll let you know as we go. Stay tuned!

Sunny today with a high near 94 (the record is 96 set in 2001).

Clear skies tonight with a low near 54.

Sunny near 90 tomorrow and Saturday. Low 90s Sunday. Upper 80s Monday. Low 80s Tuesday and Wednesday!

Forecast for Wednesday, October 25, 2017

High pressure moving off to the west as we go through the week which means slowly falling temperatures into the weekend. This morning’s easterly breezes will also be weakening by this afternoon as the high slides west and weakens. If the forecast high comes exactly true today we will tie the record high of 95 set in 2014. No rain in sight. Looks like we will tie the driest October on record with zero, zip, nada, nothing for the month.

Sunny and breezy today with east winds 15-20 mph and gusty this morning relaxing this afternoon. Today’s high near 95.

Clear tonight with a low in the upper 50s.

Sunny tomorrow near 93ish. Upper 80s to near 90 Friday. Mid 80s Saturday. Near 90 Sunday.  Upper 80s Monday and Tuesday.

Forecast for Tuesday, October 24, 2017

Congratulations Tucson. As expected you set a new record high yesterday! 96 breaking the old record of 94 set in 1933. Today’s record of 96 should be safe as we cool off a couple of degrees with gusty east winds bringing in some cooler air, especially to our east. High pressure continue to lose it’s grip as we head into the weekend. Upper 80s by Friday which is still a good 6 degrees above average for this time of year, but we’ll take it!

Sunny and breezy today with east winds 15-25 mph and gusting higher. Today’s high near 94.

Clear and breezy tonight with east southeast winds 15-20 mph and gusting higher.

Sunny tomorrow and breezy in the morning with winds relaxing by afternoon and a high near 94. Sunny near 92ish Thursday. Upper 80s Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Forecast for Monday, October 23, 2017

Yesterday we topped out at 90 which is well above the average of 83 for this time of year. Today we are forecasted to go from this morning’s low of 57 all the way up to a record shattering high of 96. A swing of almost 40 degrees! If it comes true that will easily top today’s record of 94 set in 1933. Tomorrow’s record high of 94 is also in jeopardy. High pressure should continue to weaken through the week with slowly falling temperatures. Winds picking up from the east tomorrow should be with us into early Wednesday before relaxing. No rain in sight. Don’t be mad at me, I’m just the messenger!

Sunny today with a new record high of 96.

Clear tonight with a low in the upper 50s.

Sunny and breezy tomorrow with east winds 15-25 mph gusting over 30 and a new record high of 95. Breezy Wednesday morning with winds relaxing by afternoon and a high in the low 90s. Sunny low 90s Thursday. Upper 80s Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Forecast for Sunday, October 22, 2017

Yesterday is what an average day for this time of year looks like. We started the day with a low of 56 (55 is average) and topped out in the afternoon at the average of 83. Pretty nice, huh?! (just a reminder, you can always go to www.tucsonweather.us and look up all the almanac’s for the past year and beyond) As we’ve been talking about for some time, it’s not going to last. High pressure re-exerting itself starting today should warm us quickly to near record highs Monday through Thursday. Then our high de-exerts itself somewhat for cooler weather by the end of the week, but warmer than we should be for late October. Still, even though the afternoons are toasty, the mornings remain quite nice. Enjoy!

Sunny today with a high near 90.

Clear skies tonight with a low in the mid 50s.

Sunny tomorrow with a high near 96. The record is 94 set in 1933 so…

Sunny and breezy Tuesday with east winds 15-25 mph gusting over 30 and a high near 94. Shy of the record of 96. Wednesday’s record is 95, we should be around 93ish. Near 90 Thursday. Upper 80s Friday. Mid 80s Saturday.
