Forecast for Monday, November 27, 2017

Our hottest Thanksgiving weekend on record has come to a close, but what a finish! 92 yesterday obliterated the old record of 86 set in 1950 and hit again in 1998. It was also the latest day in a calendar year to hit 90 degrees or higher. A record we will likely eclipse today! Even persistent weather patterns change eventually and we have big changes coming. Storms moving into the Great Basin will push our high outta here and we’ll start to cool down. Highs of 80 the next few days is still 10-12 degrees above average, but obviously cooler than low 90s. Then an actual storm heads our way be the end of next weekend for a chance for rain Saturday night into Sunday and highs near 70! It’s a ways off, so we’ll keep an eye on the details as we get closer. Stay tuned!

Sunny today with a record high in the low 90s.

Partly cloudy tonight with a low in the upper 40s to near 50.

Mostly sunny tomorrow with a high near 80ish. Near 80 Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Mostly sunny Saturday upper 70s. Near 70 Sunday with a chance for rain showers.

Forecast for Sunday, November 26, 2017

Another record high yesterday with our second 88 degree day in a row. 91 predicted today which will easily best today’s record of 86. The biggest problem I have is the prediction of 91. Just NO! Hashtag #Never90InNovember. Ugh. We’ll see. If we do hit 90+ it will be the latest 90 degree day in Tucson history. Hard to believe our average high for this time of year is 69! Another record tomorrow before we tap the breaks. Storms missing us to the north will cool us off quite a bit, but even 79 is 10 degrees above average! Wow!

Sunny today with a record high near 91ish.

Clear tonight with a low in the low 50s.

Mostly sunny tomorrow near 89. 79 Tuesday and Wednesday. Upper 70s Thursday, Friday and Saturday as well.

Forecast for Friday, November 24, 2017

So. 89 yesterday. Hottest Thanksgiving evah. New record high for the date. Latest 89 degree day in Tucson’s 123 year history of keeping records. Pretty amazing. And yet to me it didn’t seem that hot. Maybe it’s because my aprtment faces north and it’s a good 10 degrees cooler on the deck during the afternoon. Maybe I’m just used to 80 something in the fall. We’ve sure had a lot of that and it’s going to continue. The hottest Thanksgiving Day Weekend rolls on with another record expected today, tomorrow and Sunday. What kills me about Sunday’s forecast is that dreaded psychological barrier of 90 degrees. Please NO! Otherwise, hey, it is what it is. TEP still ain’t getting my money! Big cool off next week with some breezes Monday and Tuesday as a storm goes through the Great Basin and knocks us back into the 70s!

Sunny today with a high near 88.

Clear tonight with a low in the low 50s.

Upper 80s tomorrow. Near 90 to the low 90s Sunday! Upper 80s Monday. Mid 70s Tuesday. Upper 70s Wednesday. Mid 70s Thursday.

Forecast for Thursday, November 23, 2017

All righty then. Thanksgiving is here! This will easily be the hottest Thanksgiving weekend on record. Hottest Thanksgiving on record so far? 86 on November 24th, 1998 and November 24th, 1904. We should easily best that with an expected high of 89ish. IF we hit 90 it will be the latest 90 evah in Tucson (please no!). Today’s record is 87 set in 1917 so that’s likely to fall as well. Tomorrows record is 86 set in 1981. Again, expected to be bested. Saturday’s record is 86 set in 1894. That is the longest standing record high still standing. (redundant on purpose)Then on Sunday, the record of 86 set in 1998 is in serious jeopardy with a high of 89 expected. Pretty amazing! I’m thinking of it this way. The mornings are nice and cool. The afternoons are not that hot considering the rest of the year and TEP isn’t getting my AC or heater cash. It’s all good! Something else to be thankful for. Not to mention the pumpkin pie I have waiting for me for breakfast with an insane amount of Reddi Wip. Cooling off next week as a storm misses us to the north. Staying dry, but highs Monday mid 80s. Mid 70s Tuesday and Wednesday!

Enjoy the weekend! I’m thankful for you as well. Your likes, comments, views & shares. Have a Happy and amazing Thanksgiving!

Forecast for Wednesday, November 22, 2017

I have good news! Sorta. The National Weather Service has backed off from its forecast of 90 for Thanksgiving. However. 89 will still be the hottest Thanksgiving on record if it comes true. Yay us. Still refreshingly cool in the morning and I’m still not giving TEP any AC or heater $$. All good stuff. The hottest Thanksgivings on record are 1908 and 1998 when we hit 86. We should blow that out of the water. Tomorrows record of 87 should also go down in flames. Fridays record of of 86 is in serious jeopardy. Saturdays record of 86 will likely be bested as well. Oh wait, there’s more. Sundays record of 86 might be toast too. So. This Thanksgiving weekend will be historically hot and there’s nothing we can do about it except play and watch football and enjoy time with our family and friends. High pressure relaxes as we move into next week, but we’ll still be above average. Some high clouds around for possible sunrise and sunset enhancement!

Mostly sunny and a bit breezy today with east winds 10-20 mph gusting over 25 and a high in the mid 80s.

Mostly clear tonight with a low in the low 50s.

Mostly sunny tomorrow with a record high in the upper 80s. Upper 80s Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Mid 80s Monday. Upper 70s Tuesday.

Forecast for Tuesday, November 21, 2017

High clouds on the decrease as we go through the day today. Refreshingly cool this morning, but those highs. Wow! As high pressure re-exerts itself high temperatures will reach Thanksgiving levels never seen before in 123 years of record keeping in Tucson. IF we hit 90 on Thursday it will be the warmest ever Thanksgiving and the latest 90 degree reading evah. I’m personally rooting against it, but it will be what it will be. Que Sera Sera. No jackets required for a casual Thanksgiving. More like shorts and tank tops. East winds picking up the next couple of days as well so east wind prone areas may see some gusts around 25 mph tonight onto tomorrow.

Mostly sunny today with a high near 84ish.

Mostly clear tonight with a low in the low 50s.

Sunny tomorrow upper 80s. Near 90 Thanksgiving. Upper 80s Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Mid 80s Monday.

Forecast for Monday, November 20, 2017

Hard to believe it’s November 20th, but my Google Calendar tells me it is, so it must be so. The forecast says May or maybe October so there’s that. Downright pleasant today with a high near 80 with some high cloudiness perhaps leading to amazing sunrise and sunset photo opportunities. High pressure gaining strength with unparalleled and unprecedented highs headed our way for the Thanksgiving weekend. Mid 80s tomorrow. Upper 80s Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

Forecast for Sunday, November 19, 2017

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. High pressure building back in for a warming trend through Thanksgiving. Pretty nice today and tomorrow with highs near 80, but that is still about 8 degrees above average for this time of year. Mid 80s tomorrow. Upper 80s Wednesday, Thanksgiving and Friday which could be records. Mid 80s Saturday. High clouds from time to time for possible sunrise and sunset enhancement.

Forecast for Saturday, November 18, 2017

A cool front moving through today will knock our temperatures back about 6 degrees from yesterday’s high of 85. Very pleasant this weekend with highs in the upper 70s to near 80. Still well above the low 70s average for this time of year. A few high clouds from time to time for possible sunrise and sunset enhancement, so there’s that! High pressure building back in next week with near record highs for Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving weekend.

Mostly sunny today with a high near 79.

Mostly clear skies tonight with a low near 50.

Mostly sunny tomorrow near 80. low 80s Monday and Tuesday. Mid 80s Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Records for Thursday and Friday are 87 and 86 respectively.

Forecast for Friday, November 17, 2017

It’s Friiidaaay!

Another record yesterday. We tied the record high of 89. The good news is we didn’t hit 90 and haven’t this month! It’s a psychological victory, but I’ll take it. The other good news is we are fixin’ to cool off quite a bit this weekend. True, we’ll still be 5 or more degrees above average, but much cooler than it’s been. High clouds increasing today and not as warm with a high near 84. As a strong storm to our north moves east we’ll see even cooler air move in this weekend with highs tomorrow in the upper 70s! Nice. Near 80 on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday look very nice with highs near 80 as well. Then high pressure begins to nose back in and we could see record or near record highs for Thanksgiving. Wednesday’s high near 84ish and 85ish for Thanksgiving. Great food coma and football watching weather!
