Forecast for Sunday, January 20, 2019

70 yesterday and warmer today as high pressure invades the land. Enjoy the warmth because a chill in the air will soon be here. A storm approacheth and will bring a few clouds today and a few more tonight. I think we’ll still get some good views of tonight’s Super (cool) Blood Moon and the partly cloudiness might even provide some extra excellent visuals. We’ll find out tonight starting just after 8:40 and lasting 3 hours or so. Gusty winds for us as the storm moves through northern Arizona tomorrow and a dramatic cool down behind the system. Looks like a freezing morning Wednesday before we start a gradual warm up the rest of the week. Stay Tuned.

Mostly sunny today with a high in the mid 70s! Partly cloudy tonight with a low in the mid 40s. Sunny tomorrow and breezy (OK, kinda windy) with SSW winds 10-20 mph gusting to near 30 and a high in the upper 60s. Sunny Tuesday mid 50s! Sunny Wednesday near 60ish. Mid 60s Thursday and Friday. Upper 60s Saturday. Enjoy!

Forecast for Saturday, January 19, 2019

Finally! An opportunity to rub it in to your friends in the Midwest and “back east”. While they deal with a major snowstorm we a “dealing” with a nice warm up (you know, if you’re into that sort of thing). Our old pal high pressure moving in for a couple of days. Today and especially tomorrow will be quite pleasant. Gusty winds on Monday as a storm missing us to the north will drop our temperatures back below average, but we will have our memories. Warming up some by the end of next week and staying dry. Stay tuned!

Sunny today with a high in the upper 60s. Clear tonight low 40s. Mostly sunny tomorrow mid 70s! SSW winds 10-20 mph gusting to near 25 on MLK Day and a high near 70ish. Mid 30s Tuesday morning and Tuesday’s high only in the upper 50s. Sunny Wednesday 60ish. Mid 60s Thursday. Upper 60s Friday. Enjoy!

Forecast for Friday, January 18, 2019

It’s Friiidaaay!!!

Our exiting storm that missed us to the north will bring us some gusty NW breezes today. High and low near the averages of the highs and lows recorded over the last three decades by the ancients. Then a bit of high pressure mixed with a healthy dose of southern Arizona Sun and you get some southern Arizona fun! Everybody into the pool! Sunday is looking downright toasty. Don’t get used to it just yet. The next storm to miss us to the north will knock us back below average by Tuesday. Another warming trend after that. Stay tuned!

Mostly sunny today with a high in the mid 60s and NW breezes 5-15 mph and gusty. Mostly clear tonight with a low in the upper 30s. Sunny tomorrow upper 60s. Upper 70s Sunday! Low 70s for MLK Day. Near 60ish Tuesday. Low 60s Wednesday. Upper 60s Thursday.

Forecast for Thursday, January 17, 2019

Friday’s slight chance for rain has been greatly exaggerated. Due to lack of interest it has been cancelled. However. A storm missing us to the north will bring some NW breezes Friday and cool us off a bit Friday night. Warming up this weekend with another system missing us to the north and bringing some colder air by Tuesday. Otherwise, not much to write home about. I guess if we did it would go something like this:

Dearest Maybelle,

My stay in Tucson has been most pleasant. The locals are nice enough and the food is second only to your home cooking. My heart aches to hold you again soon. I look forward to that day when my top secret mission that I can’t discuss in person, nor in letter, is complete.

I must tell you. The weather that we have been experiencing has been completely normal weather for this time of year. Indeed our forecast is also pretty benign. A mixture of clouds and sun have given us the best sunrises and sunsets I have ever seen in my travels around the world. If only you were here to enjoy them with me. (but I digress) We are looking forward to a lot of sunshine today with a high near 70ish, which is a bit warmer than we’ve been lately. Partly cloudy tonight with a low near 45. (Great snuggling weather. Just sayin’) Mostly sunny tomorrow with a northwest breeze and a high in the mid 60s. Chilly Saturday morn’ (you know how I love chili) with a low in the mid to upper 30s. Sunny Saturday mid 60s. Low 70s Sunday! Near 70 on MLK Day. Perhaps we both have the day off and we can Facetime! Sunny Tuesday near 60. Low 60s Wednesday.

I shall write soon about any future weather developments.

Enjoy!
Mike
