Forecast for Friday, August 31, 2018

It’s Friiidaaay!!!

It’s also the last day of August. Weird! Another also is Meteorologically speaking September is the first month of Fall. Tucson tends to hang on to Summer longer than most, so we’ll plan on that. The good news is the National Weather Service outlook for September is calling for above average rainfall for Arizona. Hopefully that comes true! Viva Monsoon 2018! She hasn’t left us for good yet.

Dewpoints in the low 60s this morning and we’ll likely hold on to enough moisture into the evening for a slight chance of an isolated storm or two, hopefully near you. Otherwise mostly sunny today with a high near 99.

Tomorrow looks interesting. A pacific system moving through mainly to our north will be close enough to pull in more moisture from the south and provide some extra lift. We’ll go with a partly cloudy Saturday with a 40% chance for afternoon storms and a high in the mid 90s. 30% chance for storms tomorrow night low 70s.

20%/20% Sunday mid 90s. 20%/10% Labor Day mid 90s. Mostly sunny Tuesday mid 90s. 20%/10% Wednesday mid 90s. 10% Thursday mid 90s. Enjoy!
